Lake Barnett

Has anyone here fished Lake Barnett much? I have bass fished there many times, but never tried the crappie. For bass, we have spent most of our time going through the stumps to the back of the lake. Is it worth the effort to do that crappie fishing?

I haven't tried it but I saw a show last year where wildman wilson was fishing it in late winter or early spring and doing pretty well using a slip bobber and jig around the timber. I believe he was fishing with the man who made the jigs.

I had forgotten about that show until you mentioned it. I've always heard some good fish can be caught out of it, but it's not an easy task. I'm just trying to eliminate some water before I head up there.
