Thanks for the info, I'm not sure if Arcadia is own by Edmond city or is there still a permit thing for the lake.
just need state license and entry fee to park think its like 6 bucks for a car load..kinda like the drive in
Those Jones boys are storying to ya. They are catching those fish at Hefner.
The jones boys fish both lakes Arcadia and Hefner. I think they mainly fish Arcadia for cats but they also fish off the floating dock.
has the spawn started yet. i just got back from 60 days in the sand box known as Iraq and was wondering if i missed the fun yet this year. also anyone know where its good to fish the spawn from a boat in arcadia or is it just good form the rocks. let me know what you do.
cheers
Tim
I don't fish Arcadia lake, but I do fish Hefner regularly..
I went yesterday at the dam along the rocks, my dad reel in 4 big crappie.
They was full of eggs, seems it is still early, I give it another week or 2. I know they are in there, but they do not want to bite much. They move in much closer to the shoreline and they are waiting for the right time or temperature to start.
Tim- First off, thank you for your service to your country in keeping us free. Secondly, Go to the second cove West from the South side of the dam and go almost all the way back and fish the cove on the East side. I think it is the second cove and there is a small creek channel in there. It used to be a good cove for spawning crappie.
I have my doubts that Arcadia is producing much of anything yet. Traditionally it is a late April into May spawn.
