"Structure" or "Cover" ???
I understand everyone's posts when they describe brushpiles, PVC, bamboo, etc. as "structure" they have put out, but isn't the correct term "cover". Structure is a description of the contour of the bottom and cover is anything natural or built that sticks above the bottom of the lake. Did I learn it wrong or does it even matter? I think everyone understands anyway.
Not necessarily .... SpeckWick

To be "technically" correct : cover is "a structure" ... while the bottom contour of a lake is "the structure" :p (actually, cover is the natural or man-made things that are ON the structure, while structure refers to the natural bottom contour ... think of it this way -- a body of water can have NO COVER, but it can't have NO STRUCTURE :D )
And, yes ... the correct terminology of cover vs structure is how you describe it, CW. But, like alot of words we use, they're often incorrectly used to mean the same thing, or both words have the same or similar meanings and we use them interchangably.
