I take it you didn't want to do the epoxy head?
I like the colors on the 3rd one best.

Just using glitter finger nail polish to cement heads. Main thing I like about clousers is can use real light weight 1/100 oz ( hour glass eyes ) and still use decent size hook.
I like the chartreuse one also but the darker one should look like a fathead minnow that all the bait shops here in Ohio sell. That and I like to night fish and the darker ones should work better at night.
From what little I know I guess the clouser is a big saltwater jig. Seining minnows I always noticed the oversize eyes in comparision on newly hatched fish. I hope that these clousers will imitate that enough to convince the crappies to clamp down on em.
A few of the lakes I fish I noticed in the underwater light these small silvery minnows that the crappies were clobbering within a foot of the surface. I have tied up some to try and imitate those also.
Epoxy will not really hurt the weight, but it will protect the entire head and eye area. Take a look at the videos and don't miss the one about the epoxy. They can be on any size hook really.

i'd be interested to know how well these perform. those eyes look enticing. let us know how they produce.
I made up some brim jigs with those "clouser" eyes. I haven't tried them yet but they sure look buggy.
Clousers work well, I do epoxy some of the heads But not all, they both hold up well.
Hays47,
Thanks for posting. Here's a finish for eyes you may like to try. Star by painting them black with the cheap acrylic craft paint from Wal Mart Crafts, then coat each eye twice with NYC nail polish in the 102A color called White Lights Glitter. It's available at Target, and the smaller Wal Marts. It would go well with your clousers. Also, if anyone has any holographic icicles left over from Christmas, try a couple strands for glitter...they were on clearance at Wal Mart a few weeks ago....really nice for tying jigs too. Comes in gold, silver and a variety pack. Probably hard to find, but worth the effort. Also I use mylar shredding for lining gift bags available at the Dollar Tree dollar store available in gold, silver and red.
