Save the money and spend an extra couple days in the spring. I am saving it all for the spring. This winter has been nasty. Not many fishing I assume. But if you can get out there you should catch some fish.
Is the lake froze? Money not issue. Already have days planned in Spring. I think Cracker's coming next week too.
Just talked to someone that lives off lake RD. said they had to carry there Momma to ripley that they are out of kerosene and that the power lines are down right now not just leaning she said they have fell down and electricity been out for awhile and a few people have been bailing out!!Staying in Dyersburg/ Rpley i no old allen was gettin cold some when i had last talked to him hope everyone will pull out of it OK!! GOD BLESS!
Dang bails. Money not an issue? :D
No I know you come down when you can. The conditions have just been tough lately. I dont think the lake is froze, but the area was hit hard by this ice storm.
Drove around the lake today. There are a lot of power lines down. Crews are working on getting power back but from the looks of things it will be a few days at best. Lots of ice damage to the trees. Power in Dyersburg, some have power in Union City. Fulton is a mess. Lots of areas in Kentucky without power. It's going to be a good week before it gets back to normal. The lake does not have ice.
Sure was a widespread storm. I live almost 5 hours from reelfoot and we have the same problem with ice here.
Gentleman...and everyone down there effected by the storm...I put in a little prayer for ya'll...mother nature has her way of lettting us all know what's most important. Family/Friends. Everyone take care down there and be safe...stay warm.
I will be coming down next Thursday night and staying in the Samburg area....
I will have extra room in the pickup...so, if I can help in anyway, let me know and I will do what I can.
Bails..
When I got up this morning it was 48 degrees. Cranked up the heater and got it up to a toasty 69 degrees, got ready and headed to work. So if I can sleep in that I can fish in also.
Watch the weather for next week. Big storm brewing for Monday, some in TN may get dumped on(snow). It may skirt to the southeast of the Foot, but it could pull in some nasty cold weather for a few days next week. That water might get hard.
