Well I've been trying to finish up my jigs so I can get them sent off. Wouldn't you know it, my vise broke. So I'm tying my last few jigs on a new vise.
Below is my new vise. Total cost.....free (stuff laying around the shop around). I got the idea from somewhere on the net, where a guy had students build vises from a piece of wood and an exacto knife. Mine is just a little fancier than that.

Well if its USA made which it is it would sell for 3 payments of $9:95 if its China made like most stuff including !!!!!!!the list is to long it would cost 1 bowl of field rice for 30 vises a place to sleep 3x3x6 and $.19 a day and it would sell for $12:95 ???????????
I have heard of people tying flies with out a vise at all so your ahead of them, LOL!

AgriHawg, is it made allowing the jig to be turned over? I tie quite a few two sided skirt jigs. Also, does it hold the hook well, I tend to exert a fair amount of pressure with hair jigs especially....??? About turning over, I realize you can remove the hook and turn the jig over, but what I am asking is about turning the knife handle over, or will the jaws turn over when loosened a tad? Thanks, Mac
