Crickets
-
They look like crickets to me, and think they will put a hurtin' on the gills. Only thing I can suggest is maybe a wider body, make em look a little juicey-er. Not sure how to do it but...
For the pictures, if you are using a graphics program to crop them, try to auto adjust the contrast and the levels before you save them for the web. I use photoshop and the auto stuff works out pretty well but too much tinkering with hue-brightness-contrast does make it look digital.
Nice bugs!!

After looking at the pictures as well as real pictures, I have decided to "lay" the wings down to the body. Off to the vise once again.

I think you got some killer gill jigs.Wings down on the body, sounds like a great idea.I can't wait to see the finished product.

I really like the bottom 2 pics. They look like water striders and water beetles form up here. Fish simply go nuts for them when you chase them from the shoreline here.
Do you have any instructions for them?

 WOW! Those are impressive! Nice work!
If you need someone to catch a big gill on a couple of them for you this spring and summer, you just let me know! :D

Funny thing FM I have been trying to work out a good cricket pattern myself. The crickets around here are a brownish tan with an almost white under belly and I just cannot get the things to come together. I am going to try the weave and see what happens when I get through with tinkering with crawfish patterns. I like the looks of your cricket bodies and your thoughts on the back legs is what I have tried I just don't like the way mine are coming out and they are not predictable as to which direction they will finally point......I hope you get yours like you like them....good luck to you......brim

The picture second from the bottom looks like a cricket with a hook coming out his rear end.Excellent tie.How long did it take to tie on up?
