dont know anything about the eagle, I like garmin and humminbird, i dont hear much good about the hand helds, I have fished out of other boats with lowrance and they are nice, do a little research and see which ones have the most power,pixels, so forth, you can get to many bells and whistles and end up with something that is too good, good luck
