I have a card reader that I use to plug into a USB port on my PC to load my sideimages into my computer and it works great. But how do I upload back onto the SD card from the PC so I can so I can update my 997 with any new updates from humminbird? The card reader only reads the card for the PC but I dont think it has the capability to actually turn around and load data onto it right? I dont have an SD slot on my computer so that is out.
You need Humminbird PC . have you resister your 997 at Humminbird if so log in and get program.
cp, download the update from hb to hard drive on your computer. Then go to my computer and save it to your removable storage sd card. I think that would work if you didn't have hb program. I upgraded mine with sd card through hb program and it worked.
The reader should work both ways. Try it with any other file and see. Bet it does. Mine does.
