I use the Mister Twister (Salt Water Version) Electric Knife and the Mister Twister Replacement blades. I don't like the blades that are thin. They seem to catch the skin too much. I just bought replacement blades from Rusty.....they may have been 9 or 10 inches long.

eletric knives arent worth the box they come in,they waste to much meat.If you want a good knife get a forschner thats the way to go.
When you catch as many fish as Lightwire does, wasting a little meat isn't a big deal.
What was that ol statement???? Waste not, want not. I have never used a 'letric one before, but do pride myself on being able to get everything worth getting off a fish.

If you have a good knife and sharp blades and a degree of experience
there is not much difference in the waste. Take the slab off and skin with electric knife and take the rib cage out with a sharp filet knife. Give the ribs to the Blue Heron who likes to get a free meal when he can.

I agree that you can get a bit more meat off a fish by taking your time and using a good manual knife. But life is too short to stand at a cleaning table for hours.
An electric knife means cleaning a fish in seconds instead of many minutes. And when you get good at it, there is very little waste. It might amount to the meat in one fillet (half a fish) after 30 fish are cleaned.

Nothing is ever wasted....if there is a little meat left on the bones some big old catfish will just get bigger and bigger as evidence by the size that is caught just off the dock.
By the looks of my belly......I ain't never wasted too much!!!!!

I can promise you that an electric knife don't waste meat as long as you know what your doing with it! Not to mention its leagues faster than a real knife. Electric is the way to go!
