Fellows I am way up here in the Panhandle and the last I heard of the Big "O" was the extreme low water level.
Can anyone bring us up todate on the status ?
Thanx in advance

When I was there back in May the sloughs were dry and you really had to watch for rocks and stumps and running aground. We did catch a few shellcrackers though. When I was there in October the water from the tropical storm had washed into the lake and the water was so high I couldn’t find spots that I had fished in for years. I left Clewiston without a fish.
The measured low for 2008 was 9.27 ft on June 17 and the high was 15.16 on Sep 16. Current level is 13.95, about where it needs to be. I understand from this board that folks are starting to catch a few.
There catchin em but its very inconsistant.I brought a buddy up to uncle joes last week and we tore em up.Ive been back twice since then and did ok the first time and couldnt buy a bite the next.A game warden told me that the people he has checked at indian prarie and harney pond have had their limits.
Thanx for the report.
Glad to know that it has plenty of water in it now.
