I am not to big of a fan for the C&O Canal but I have caught some rather large bass and brim in it. I have never tried it this time of the year. Since it is so shallow in most parts I am not sure how the fish live during the winter months. It is a lot different then a lake. If you have can you share your experiences?
Never fished there but we have some parts of the marsh over hear that are land locked & are only 3ft. at the very deepest & we catch crappie in there in the middle of winter but they only bit right at dusk.
I do believe some stretches of the canal are allowed to be fished at night. I think I may give it a try.
