The one thing that bothered me about the video is it seemed to really oversize
the head and i just dont like the idea of reaming into the eye recess and the sprue. If anyone has done one, how bad is the sprue? I wonder if using a pro mold would be any better. I think if i was going to try it id try a 15/64 or7/32 ball mill bit first and make sure i sink it half way. I also thought about doing it the other way and buying a 1/16 pro mold and then using a syringe and jb weld and adding the same about to either cavity and narrow the jig head down until i got the weight i want of course on a perfectly level surface. Also jb flows better when its hot so probably a good idea to slightly heat the mold then add jb and then back in the oven . Ive never used jb on a mold but they say it works. Ive never mic'd and ball heads what does each size measure roughly?
first let me ask what all the fuss is with 1/24th oz jig heads??? Second man I don't know about doing a custom drill out job on a professional mold those things cost about $125 to $150 bucks!!!!!! If you were gonna spend that kind of money to buy and then try to customize it why not go with a custom made mold!!!! you'd be spending roughly the same amount of money and it would already be the right size.

Wouldn't it be easier to take a 1/16th oz head and sand the sides down evenly until you get to 1/24th oz???? Yeah it would make it look like an aspirin head but you could put some cool 3-d eyes on em or regular stick on eyes. I have a new batch of 1/16ths I just got done with last week that still have the sprues on them I'm gonna try this one myself.

the pro molds are only about $10 more than a regular mold. Also sanding wont work. SRMO doent show prices on the pro's but without shipping their prices is about $32-33.
Tin metal weighs about 2/3 as much as lead and a 1/16 Do-it RH pours OK with tin tho a 1/32 is a bit more difficult. Here is a supplier of tin:
