I am making some for small mouth fishermen and have lots of colors, but what works best for Small Mouth bass as we don't have them here if anyone knows.

Skip,
Looks good! I fish alot for river small mouth in Northern Ohio. Black, Drk Green & Drk Brown are my favorites, crayfish colors. I would say water clarity is big, clearer the water, darker more natural the jig. When the river get muddied up, I use the same chenile/maribou jigs with bright colors I use for crappies.
there not crayfish their crawfish :)
and yes you can eat them and there damn good

That's what I've called em for as long as I know. I do have friend from MO who lives up here now and he has corrected me more than once!:D You are right though, whatever ya wanna call em, they sure taste good. Wife don't like em looking at her though. lol
Skip, where are you sending these beauties to? I do fish a bit on Erie as well. Open water fish feed alot on gobies on Erie. Same deal, molted green/black/brown.
skip you gonna be around this weekend?

That is a perfect color you show on your posts, brown with orange head for smallmouth here on the ST.Joesph river in Mishawaka,IN. Those are also GREAT colors AtticaFish mentioned that we use here for smallmouth!!!
