Cane Creek 12-3-08 (pics)
The day after my brother caught his 3lb. 5oz. crappie and I the 3-2, we went back to C C again. It was another good day, unusual for there, to have 2 good days in a row. Today was my day for a 3-5 and 7 other good fish and my brother caught another 3 pound fish, 3-0. We both now have identical biggest crappie that we had ever caught. Both 16 7/8 inches long and both 3lb. 5oz. We took them to the taxidermist the next day and are going to have them mounted the same way. We'll always have something to remember our trip for those two days and memories of all the good times we've shared crappie fishing together. Well enough rambling here are some pictures.
The big one of the day.

Now that we have our wallhangers and the pressure is off, we're still going to fish there this time of year for the big ones, but not as much and fish more of the places where you can catch more fish and have more consistant action. Cane Creek is a special place with some special fish , but you'll have more days like we had yesterday (sat.), than you will good days, we fished all day from daylight til 4:30pm without the first bite, and fished all the holes that I always fish. Well that's why they call it fishing not catching.
