People are getting way too much for used molds on ebay and lot's have been driving up their own prices, if you can buy a new one within a couple bucks of a new one buy new, It's alot less hassle.

I've tried eBay for molds off and on over the last few years and have almost always gotten outbid. That is unless I went in with a really big hammer at the last second. Sure I overpaid a couple times, but I got a couple molds that can't be bought at any price anymore. So it was worth it to me.
But for molds that are still in production, I'm getting crushed every time.
Bidders are spending stupid money for them. Far more than what makes sense.
I frequent a place about 10 miles from my house that sells the $38 list price Do-It molds for under $30. They have just about every Do-It mold in stock. Also have a Fleet Farm and Gander Mountain within a few miles too. Both are about the same price, maybe a tad over 30 dollars. Plus Cabelas is within a timely drive too. Not the greatest selection at those places but they are close.
So a fair price to pay for a used mold including shipping would be about $22 maybe $23. At least for me. Any much more than that and I'm better off going new. And dang near every mold/auction goes for much more than that, used. And the guys that list new molds are really insane with their prices.
Plus you are rolling the dice with a used mold. First you have to hope like heck that the mold hasn't been warped or misaligned or suffered abuse in other ways. No way to tell from the pictures and the seller won't admit to it because he/she wants to unload the thing.
Next, you hope you actually get it. One mold I won was accidentally sent to Australia by mistake. It took 5 months for it to make it's way to me.
So I've just about given up on eBay for molds. I'm sure I'll try it again but I'm not making any bets. More than likely I'll be grabbing them locally.
