Condo Base

For those of you that use five gallon buckets to sink your condos, try this.
Take a five gallon bucket and fill it half full of dirt.This will end up being about 40lbs of concrete. Cover the inside of the bucket with vasseline.Put a trash bag into the bucket and pour in the concrete.After it sets you will be able to pull the concrete out of the bucket. I personally use 10 10inch pieces of 1 inch pvc. Ill cut the boo to fit into the pvc. When i get to my spot ill run a screw through the pvc into the boo ,and bombs away......

gotta go with the dish pan

once the concrete sets all you have to do is twist it a lil like its an ice cube tray then pull out the crete pvc structure.

pops right out everytime!

The reason i do it this way, is because i find it easier to put it together at the spot instead of transporting it already put together. Just my personal preferance...

I understand why you do it this way. I have a hour drive down the interstate and it's tough to get there with stuff sticking up. I like to transport as much stuff and put it together at the lake. Sometimes I use stuff off the bank and screw it to the bucket. I can transport more buckets if there aren't full of pipes or sticks.

It's part of the problem not living right on the water.

I don't have a problem transporting stuff to the Lake, it is the lifting part that I can't do (2 back surgeries) so I use left over brick from building sites. The brick have 3 or 4 holes through them so I take 2 pieces of boo and slide 3 brick on them from the bottom then run a galv. drywall screw through the boo to keep the bricks from sliding off. Then all you have to do is drop them over the side of the boat and they won't weigh 10 pounds each.

I build my pallets beds then load in the boat. Put the rocks on there. Just have them to where I just slide them off without much lifting.
