Paint advise
I'm looking for a paint that requires no heat and looks as good, is glossy and durable as powder paint. I tried the craft stores acrylic paint...looks great until it dries and peels off easily. I'm wanting the paint, when dried, to be able to have some holding power for a new project I'm working on. Thanks for some help.

Vinyl paint, but you have to paint it white first and after the color on most you have to use their clear over it for a gloss. However it is tougher than Powder paint. The same people than make Pro Tec make it.

Vinyl paint works real good, like Skip says. If you want "Super" adhesion , prime with zinc Chromate first.

Two part epoxy paint works well. Use the gloss version and make sure you have clean jigheads. It has a hard finish and is very durable.

You can use the acrylic paint but use the two part epoxy gloss finish over the top of it to seal it. You can get the two part mix from Jann's or Barlows. ONLY mix what you think you'll need, and if you have it in a lid covered container you can store it in the fridge for a few days if you mix too much.
I use some testor's paint and use the two part and mine come out just fine.
