I have some real fine silver glitter, that is made for mixing with clear gloss. Has anybody tried mixing it in powder paint? Or is it best to dust with glitter after the powder paint? thanks

i would recommend keeping the two separate... that way you can still use the regular powder paint color if you want. once you've heated that jig head, it will still be warm enough after your first dip into the powder paint and then you dip it into the fine silver glitter and it will take hold.... at least that's what i do....
After dipping jig into powder, I reheat with my heat gun and then sprinkle the glitter on. Give it a little heat again, put on rack to prepare for curing.

Be careful. Some glitter melts if the jig is too hot, even when baking it in a toaster oven.
Stay with a glitter rated for powder coating - it will withstand moderate temperatures. Beware of holographics, they seem to have the lowest temp tolerance. I mix glitter with candy powders for nice effects. I also spray instead of dip.
