Hi all, finally got the boat running good (enough) and went out on RC Sunday, fished the 287 bridge with minnows, using info from the guys on the forum. I didn't get skunked but came as close as u can get, one, count em sandy! What is best time, depth and place after a front comes through on this lake?
Good question. I was put in check a little too. I did eventually put some things together. I caught a bunch of little fish, with a few good keepers, but they were really shut down. I moved out to the main lake points, and fished some 20 ft. brush, and put a pattern together. I had been down in the back creeks recently, where the fish were starting to feed pretty good, and this past front just rattled em a little bit. These transitional seasons are the toughest fishing there is. Summer to fall, fall to winter, winter to spring, spring to summer. Water temp. usually dictates the move. Im still in 74 degree water. When it drops to the mid 60s they will be moving down the creeks to feed up for winter. But they wont last long. When it gets in the lower 50s they will move towards the deep water near the dam, deep points, bridges etc.... In a nut shell.... move, move , move until you find em and then look at water temp., depth, structure etc... and duplicate it the best you can on as many holes as you have.Quote:
