Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas
Hi all. I'm new to this group and I have been referring to this site looking for news and tips for Beaver Lake but haven't seen much. I'm new to fishing and haven't had much luck. Does anybody have any recent reports on what's happening at Beaver Lake? Preferably on spots between Horseshoe Bend and Hickory Creek. Thanks!
Beaver is one of our beautiful "deep water" lakes...

I'll be going out on the lake this weekend, so hopefully I'll have good news to share next week.
Good luck and stay safe if you're going out too.
...and the lake fluctuates a LOT so be careful of floating debris in the water.
I'd concentrate on the main creeks; at the mouths and up half way into the main coves. Go to the main points you see and check your graph for structure on these points--either man-made or naturally flooded trees. Fish above in say, 12-15 feet of water for starters, using a drop-shot rig, maybe. The specks could be shallower, I dunno. It's all trial and error on a new lake.
If I was fishing Beaver, that's where I'd start. If it gets windy, find a cove and get on the lee side sos you can see the line when you get a strike.
Another pattern I'd try is dock-shootin' the docks near a point or deeper water. Docks are magnets for crappie in the fall; especially the ones just addressed or the old ones built on pilings. Regardless, you will have a ball exploring a new place. Let us know how you do, podnah.
