What is your favorite color for cappie jigs? Mine is red/white tail
Red/white, black/chart, royal blue/chart.
Mine is Black/Chartreuse, Junebug/Chartreuse, Chartruese, Black/Blue/Chartreuse in that order finishing up with white.

#1 is solid chartreuse
#2 is solid white
I like Junebug blue with chart tail, that's what I usually start with, but you gotta be flexible and give them what they want to eat.
Glad that the weather appears to be cooling off. Water temps were down to the mid-70's last weekend. Can't wait for the fall fishing to heat up!!
Surface temps back up to 78-80 on Kentucky Lake(blood river) today unfortunately,was 74-75 same area past weekend.
My favorites in no particular order red/chartruese, pumkinseed/chart, green/chart, blue/white,pink/white.
1/32 oz Flame red head with an insect green / chartruese skirt
black/chart., white /chart.!!

... all have had their time and place, and degree of success.
We (my fishing partner and I) almost always are throwing unpainted jigheads with plastic body tubes or Panfish Assassins. 1/32oz-1/16oz weedless jigheads, of various styles (fiber brush, thin wire loop, or fiber V shaped guards) .... currently using 4lb mono on most all outfits used (Mr Crappie Super Hi-vis Yellow & Stren Gold).
