New Trolling Motor
I have decided to replace my old TM with newer digital control technology. I like to spider rig and long line etc. I have a MG now and I am pretty much decided to go with the MK powerdrive with auto pilot. I fish from a tracker panfisher (16') and the cables for the foot control are always in the way and sometimes hard to manage with 6 poles out. I have settled on the 55lb thrust 12 volt. The MG I now have is 40 lb and moves the boat well. Most I have read about these units is positive but any feedback would be appreciated.

Good choice. You will have to drill a couple new holes to mount it as MK and MG mounts are not exactly the same mounting wise. But no big deal.

I recently replaced the old MG that came with my boat (17.8' Traveler very similar to your tracker) with a MK powerdrive V2 with auto pilot and co-pilot. I love it!
The co-pilot is a nice to have but could do without feature for a crappie fisherman. The auto pilot is an essential, can't do without, feature for those who fish as you and I do.

Took me one hour to take off MG and install new MK Terrova and I did it alone. A little easier if you have two people.

I think you will thoroughly enjoy the Power Drive V2. I bought mine in January of this year and it took me 10 seconds to fall in love with it. It was on a 15 ft Fiberglass Bomber and now I have it on my 17 1/2 ft Alumicraft and it pulls both boats with no problem. There are several threads on the mounting of transducers and deploying the V2 that will be very helpful on here. I bought mine at Hodges Marine Electronics - Marine FishFinders, GPS, VHF, Radars, and more! and paid $640 with the shipping. You will be very satisfied with this trolling motor, especially if you long line.
