Looking at the US Army Corp of Engineers report on Green River Lake - Water Quality- it shows that oxygen levels are too low below 17 Feet. Also, there is less than one degree variation in temperature over that 17 ft. So....Why are the where they are at? Why aren't they anywhere in that range. Why aren't they as likely in shaded stumps in 10 ft of water as anywhere else????? (assuming there are baitfish present -of course.)

My question to you is .... where they at ?? Do you know, as in "have you been catching them at a specific depth" ??
They're not all going to be in exactly the same depth, on the same type cover, over the course of a day's time. They will move in and out from the banks, and up and down in the water column, thru the course of a day ... depending on the prevailing conditions (weather/water clarity/baitfish movement/etc).

Nope! Have been catchin a few small ones. Met KYTEACHER last saturday. I had caught a few 8" fish crappie, and a few bass. He had a nice mess of 20 or so. Just not in the right place at the right time I guess.
Must not have been holdin' my mouth right, and I didn't spit on my hook!!!!
