Fished T-ville yesterday for about 4 hours. Picked up a few at the mouth of the creeks plus a couple of bass and a drum. Talked to a fellow who fishes T-ville alot and he said the crappie are starting to make their move back up in the creeks chasing shad. 8-10' of water. That is exactly where I caught them. Best advise is to get out early. Water temps started out at 79.1 around 10:00 and got up to 81.7 by 2:30.

I'd almost be willing to bet, that between o-dark thirty & 11AM ... in the blowdowns on the main lake ... that are still shaded ... with a 1/32-1/16oz jig ... a man could get into some Crappie :eek:
But, he'd have to work those blowdowns over slowly & thoroughly ... and may even have to hit the stickups/stumps/brushpiles that are close by ;)
I may just have to load up and head over there, next weekend. ;)

Talked to a buddy and he said that the Ky. river is the place to go. He's been catching good crappie all summer by dipping jigs in the downed trees. One of the best years for crappie fishing in a long time. Know where I'll be after the boat traffic dies down next week.

Caught some down the Tyrone area, but that was during high water times ... and we caught them right in the branches of live trees (with green leaves still on) :p
Find yourself the right rootwad, or treetop ... and you can clean house on some good sized Crappie outta the KY River, that's a fact !! You just have to watch where you put your minner :eek: 'cause there's some other finny critters, toothy critters, and whiskered critters that'll put some serious pullage on ya, if'n ya ain't real careful .... LOL !!
