Caught this nice fish recently. It looks to me to be almost a Gill/Pumpkinseed hybrid but I am not totally sure. What do you guys think?

If it tastes like bream...I call it bream. I don't even TRY to break them down any more than that. I'm usually too busy eating them to sort em out! :D
Its a Bluegil. Their color will adapt depending on the water they are in. Ours down here are almost all very dark.
Looks like a gil to me, pretty fish
I agree, looks like a gill, My cousin & I went to Peabody WMA in Western Kentucky over the weekend & caught a few the same colors & darker.
Looks like a really nice Gill to me
I think you got a green sunfish. The orange on the tail?

I agree, green sunfish. Great eating however.
Here is a good comparison: Google Image Result for http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/ifwis/fishingplanner/images/FishID/Green_Sunfish.jpg
I thought it could have been a green sunfish but the mouth is too small. The mouth was the size of a bluegills. I caught some gill/green sunfish hybrids and this just doesn't look like one. It definitely has gill in it.
