One half day at Lake Barkley Lodge area

I'm going to be arriving at the Lake Barkley Lodge tonite for a freind's wedding tomorrow night. That means I have all of tomorrow morning and early afternoon to screw off. Would like to try for some crappies or whatever for the free time I have. Couldn't pull any time off work, so I have to make due with what I have. Any suggestions for the immediate area around the lodge? I don't want to stray far for the simple fact that I don't have time and I don't know the area. I do have a GPS though...

I would suggest trying for the catfish if you're not taking a boat.They are feeding up for the upcoming spawn and can be caught very shallow.

I have been catching a few fish on minnows over brush in the 14-16ft range. Mark some legdes look for brush, I have never fished Little River but I would guess it would be loaded with cover.
