I have used them and the 3 inch earthworm by Foodsource. The fish definitely like them and they hold up pretty well.

I've used mealworms since the mid-70's just by themselves and worked great...if you're in them, you'll catch them.
You try em yet? I forgot to mention I put mine on a 1/32 oz Cabin Creek Popeye Jig.
Not yet but I will tomorrow.
Those fish in my pond dont know how lucky they are.I'm not getting to go today either.I got the 5yr old home with strep throat.O well there's alway's tomorrow and I forgot where I put that bait or my wife moved it.She move's everything that's not screwed down.
Well I found my bait and went off to the pond.I tipped them with a jig and got no bite's.I put my favorite jig on and got no bite's.That pond is full of fish so I guess it was me.
I get my meal worms from pet shops, I don't tip them on anything. I just use them on a hook to catch bluegills and occasionally I get a Crappie or two. They work great for catfish too.
With whatever worms are left, I put them in a box with some stale cereal, pieces of potatoes and anything that retains moisture. The moisture helps them get plump and fat. They then start reproducing more and I have what looks like a couple hundred the last time I checked.
