Night fishing for bream
We don't need to get too in depth on this here because we discuss night fishing ad nauseam over on the main board on a weekly basis, but I was wondering if any of you guys night fish for bream. I night fish for crappie quite a bit, but I was thinking about going a little shallower and tying on some worms and crickets and seeing what happens.
Any of you guys ever do this with any success?

i seen a few guys fishing for 'em at nite out of small jons or kayaks using nothing but those cap bill lights you can pick up at Walmart.
I can only assume they were using some kind of small lighted floats, tightlining, or jigging since they had no other kind of lights on their boats (other than running lights). Personally I've never tried it though.

Works great with glowing topwater popper! I like the "Miss Prissy"!

I have never had much luck fishing at night for bluegills. They seem to shut off for me. I would give it a try though and bring your crappie gear with also so if it doesn't work out you can switch it up and go to crappie.

The only thing I have ever seen gills hit at night was the chicken liver guys were using to catch catfish, I think they just followed the smell. Litlle bait steelers picking the hook clean one peck at a time.

i have caught gills at night with nightcrawlers trying to catch catfish fishing on bottom

Bluegill always seem to seem to stop biting at dark. The only thing i catch at night with worms and crickets are catfish, drum and buffalo. The bluegill seem to be the most nocturnal fish i know of.
