am taking my buddy and his retired father to reelfoot friday-??? have crappie fished it for several years but have not tried the bluegill. Would like to get on the bluegill and do some jugfishing for catfish. Any general information would be apreciated! Thanks

Get a hand full of your of Grizzly Jigs and a tub of waxworms and head for the trees your best time is late in the afternoon. You should have no problem catching all the big brim you want! As for the catfish its full of em you should have no problem there either!! Good luck and have fun

Lance is right!
Grab some grizzly jigs, you can get them at blue bank bait shop, or at the phillips 66 in samburg. Or the best place to get them is at Grizzly Jig just across the river in MO from the lake. Its about an hour drive from the lake. Anyway, a grizzly with a wax worm is great. Trees, grassy shorlines, and pads too. Best is in the afternoon. Catfish with probably cut bait or something to keep the drum off it. Swan Basin, rat island, behind samburg, off green island point, all those places are good to try for catfish. Right now out from the lilly pads in rat island pocket would probably bee good.
Good luck!

Tidwell Teal and Cunningham jigs from Grizzly -- along with a wax worm -- worked best for us last week. Good luck!
