I went Friday and fished hard, didn't get a single keeper.
I don't understand how it can be so bad.
Water was 65 deg. and within 2' of pool.
I used jigs and minnows.
Anyone else as frustrated as I am, or am I just that bad?

Where did you put in and how did the docks look? This hi level of water and all the fronts that came in could have delayed the spawn at Taylorsville. I'm hoping what Crappiepappy says is true that they can still be spawning the 1st two weeks in May. Good luck more rain on the way.
I went to Chowning ln.
The ramps are in fine shape.
I really don't think they've spawned yet.:)
They're probably still trying to adjust from having 20ft of water taken away from over their heads :D
I don't know if they still have time to get it together, and spawn .... but, they should be starting to hang around the blowdowns & brushpiles, in the mornings --- and that should last well into late June.
... cp
