Green River 4.27.08
Well after mine and C.P.'s fun day yesterday, I was supposed to go to Hazard but the plans got changed at the last minute. I was visiting my in-laws and for the first time ever my father-in-law says "Lets go crappie fishing." :D He knows I love to fish for them but he has never wanted to go with me. We usually fish for musky, trout, walleye, or small mouth bass. I told him I didn't have any of my rods with me or my tackle. He told me to just use one of his. So off we go, a quick stop at the crossroads for a pack of jig heads and a pack of red/chart tubes for me. We got some minnows for Eddie(father-in-law) and to the lake we went. All in all a great day. We caught 50-75 fish most of them were throw backs but we did manage to get several "good ones". All the fish were caught in 6' or less of water with some sort of under water wood. I am sure glad they were hittin' my red/chart tube....cause it was the only color I had!!! :D
Here is a pic of 3 of the biggest ones I had.

Fred, I was down on the same day. We had 75 with only 15 keepers. The largest two were 13 and 13.5. For some strange reason, my next door neighbor was almost skunked ( he fishes every spare moment he can ). We fished up above Holmes Bend and didn't move more than 3-4 miles any any direction. Not having a lot of luck so far with keepers.
