Just moved here from Iowa and looking for some help/fishing buddy. Fished all weekend at Lock Lomond and caught 2 dink bass. I've fished Rayburn, Norwood, Windsor as well for crappies with no luck. Any help/advice would be great. Thanks.

I live in Pea Ridge
A friend and I fished loch lamond yesterday morning from 6:30 until 10.We caught 15 bass from 1and 1/2 lbs to a 7 1/2,mostly on finesse worms(mossy pumpkin)and 'traps'
A friend of mine fished Lomand last week and caught some crappie. The Bella Vista lakes should be a hot spot for crappie this spring with Beaver being high and muddy!
I live in bentonville, but in the process of buying a house in bella vista
Jason, if you would be willing to share a little bit of your crappie knowledge with me, I'd be willing to share my membership access and my boat if you would like to come up and fish some Bella Vista lakes. :)
After 32 years in Iowa I kinda figured out where the crappie were, but down here, it's a whole new game. I usually fished for red ears and once in a while got lucky with a few crappie.
On a side note, The Bella Vista officers are in full swing in inforcing Bella Vista residents ONLY! There is a HUGE fine for fishing Bella Vista lakes and not being a resident as a guy at the boat ramp figured out last weekend. I have been checked for a membership ID the past 5 times I've been out.
Sounds good!
once I start to slow down I may take you up on that.
Right now try and target shallow pockets or bays close to a channel with laydowns or other visible structure near the bank, that is where you will find crappie for another few weeks. Norwood, Brutany and Lomand are supposed to be the best for crappie.
Good Luck!
Thanks Jason. Tight lines!
I live in Rogers but have been fishing bella vista since '92 ,in '04 I sold my lot so I don't get to fish it very much now. I have a friend who lives up there but he is 300+ lbs.And his boat is really just big enough for him and it is difficult to fish out of the back.So if you need a fishing pal some times give me a pm and we'll see about getting together.PS I have been a die hard Bass fisherman but decided this year to switch to more crappie fishing.
