A little help please
I need to get a trolling motor for my pontoon. I have a 20 foot G3 with a 70HP Evinrude. Grizzly has 2 bow mounts hand control. One is 55 Lbs. thrust 12 volt and the other is 70Lbs. thrust 24 volt. Would it benifit me that much to change over to 24 volt and go with the 70 or do you think I'd be satisfied with the 55 Lbs.?? Thanks, Ferdi aka Fred:confused:

Go with the 70, you won't regret it. More power when you need it plus longer trolling times.

yes go with 24 volt you will love it if it is windy if money is issue look on ebay can save a ton on troll motors.
use 6 gauge wire to run from batt to receptical

Same here, especially on a pontoon. . . . .

24 volt all the way for a boat with that much area to catch the wind.

Hey Feri, i have a brother that has a mimkota 24 volt hand control,54" long shaft 65lb trust that was used only once. he has it saved in his camp. His camp is at Toledo Bend. he said he would sell it for $450. If interested i will be there this weekend. My #is 337-942-1254 or 337-945-6569 He had it on his party barge.

24 volt....you will be happy with the results.....I did the same thing a few years back.

That pontoon is a real barge. Give thought to the 105lb . You will really like it. That is what the big guns run on ther 20 bass boats and it works!!!!!
