When they say the sonar is GPS ready what do they mean? I thought maybe you could plug your handheld in and see it on the screen. If so would you need a handheld with maps? I have the Garmin 2+ which is a few years old. What good would that be with a GPS ready sonar?

Gps ready means you can add a GPS puck or hook up to a handheld! They usually dont show maps though.
