What a difference a day makes!!!!!

Well guys we had a MCC tournament on Grenada Lake this past weekend. My partner and I hit the lake first thing Friday morning with great anticipation and boy did it pay off. I told him as we motored out to our spot that I thought the fish would be tearing it up and boy was I right! It didn't take long for us to get on the fish and it seemed like they were by every stump we fished. At lunch time we decided to call it a day as we felt like we had a pattern worked out for tournament day. Well ole mother nature had different ideas as we were greeted by a passing cold front with cold NE winds. Our fish well I guess they had enough to eat Friday as we struggled to catch 9 keeper fish! We weighed our fish on the club scales back at the hotel all the guys were staying at and they weighed 15.35 pounds but on tournament day we only had 9 pounds and some change!

That's a crappie for you I guess!!! I didn't get to fish this weekend, but Fri was a pretty fun day. I found some keeper fish jigging, and couldn't make myself leavem to go look for bigger fish. I had a ball catching them shallow hard hitters.

Saturday, wasn't very productive for us as well. We had a lot of fish nibbling on the bait but would not take it. We caught a few but the bite was real slooow. We had a great time for our first time at Grenada. Looking forward to getting back soon. Maybe I can make it down for crappie camp.
