The problem I'm having is when I run the boat on plane, my Lowrance stays on the last depth that was shown while trolling. I'm assuming this is from cavatation from the motor. If so, how do I correct the problem. Thanks for any help!

Probably nothing to do with the motor, since it's behind the transducer. Most likely a transducer mounting issue. If you don't have a metal boat, mount your transducer in the hull. If the hull is metal, you may have to experiment to find the best mounting location and height. Posting a picture and boat information would be helpful, so other people with the same boat could offer advice about what works for them.
Thanks for the help Cat. That is what has me puzzled, I put it where the old one was. I'll try to post a pic.
Look see the angle the the transducer is to the bottom of the hull. You should be able to put a yard stick against the bottom of the hull forward of the transducer and the yard stick should line up just a bit higher on the TD than the mid line. It should face a touch forward so the water going under the boat hits the bottom of the transducer. You can try too much once and see if it makes any difference.
