Pro tec powder paint

So anyways i have been using this stuff ot paint my jig heads.

Anyone else using it? If so does anyone have a super sekrut trick to keeping the pain out of the eye? Or maybe a little known tool that works well for cleaning it out?

I am new at using this powder paint also, I am sure I will get ripped mentioning this, but I use a pair of needle nose pliers and squeeze the eye's flat side, and the paint kinda flakes off. If there is still paint in the eye, I use a straight pin to urge it on out. Then I will cure it after cleaning the eye.

kendall, I've seen someone's video link here where when dipping the jig into the powder they hold the jig by the eye with hemostats. The eye is protected that way.

If I am not doing enough to use a fluid bed most of the time I can paint without getting paint on the eye if I am careful.

If I am using a fluid bed its going to get in the eye and most of the time I can count the heat time and dip with out it closing the eye and need t do nothing. If I have too much around the eye I use a tooth pick while still hot. If I have too much or closed after the cure then I use a bodkin heated really hot and stick it right through and make enough of a hole.

I have tried other ways, but that is what works best for me.

Just use a tool called Eye Buster to clean the paint out BEFORE you bake it, makes it alot easier. If you dont clean it out before you bake it,you might need a hammer and chisel to get it out.
If you have a Exato knife, use the pointed blade, it works good to.

Have noticed on some colors of paint, that certen colors clean out easier then others, not sure why.

After I dip it, I hold the eye right over the flame for a few seconds. If there's too much on it, it will clog up the eye. Then once it does I just grab my bodkin and stick it through then knock it off the other side. The most important part is how long you hold it over the heat source, do it consistant and count the seconds every time and you'll be fine.
