Broken Transducer for HB 727 Fishfinder............

I am going to try and epoxy the two plasic mounting feet back on the transducer. My question is, can I put a layer of epoxy on the top of the transducer with out effecting the performance. The plastic is only about1/16" thick on the mounting feet and I would like to reenforce this with a layer. Could I make something out of metal? I know I can't put anything on the bottom, but what about the top? This fish finder trasducer was mounted on my trolling motor.

I put epoxy on mine, and it has worked fine for one year.

i broke mine also. i cut a zip-tie into small pieces and laid them across the break lines, then epxoyed over them. going on a year and still has'nt broke yet...KP
