Water, Water Everywhere
Took a tour around Marion County this morning. Crooked Creek was way up but not quite out of its banks, except in low places. One alfalfa field was under about 4 feet of water, but it is in a deep bottom. Crooked Creek at the Hwy 62 bridge in Pyatt was not out of its banks, and I have seen it much higher. Georges Creek which runs into Crooked Creek was flooded and moving really fast. Downtown in Yellville the City Park was nearly flooded, but not quite. I'm glad ot that, a lot of our local tax dollars have been spent there over the last few years on baseball fields, concessions and walking trails. I plan to head over to Bull Shoals on Saturday with my son to see if we can get into some early crappie or walleye on the flats out of Diamond City.
