Cajun red line???
I tried this line last year but it seemed about the same as the dark green line I usually use. I didnt catch anymore fish with it. Do yall have a preference with line? Clear, dk green, red?? I'm fishing escambia river so visibility is never really good. Stained water to darn near mud after a rain. What do yall suggest?

I've never used Cajun red -- suggest you search the archives. You'll find LOADS of line threads. We had three different line threads on Sunday alone.

I've tried it before and it didn't really hurt but I won't use it again. The diameter seems too big for me and it has too much memory...just didn't like anything about it. I'm a Sufix guy now.

I really liked the Cajun Red line for vertical jigging. It was very strong for its size.. but I don't think it offered anything really innovative. It was a good buy though as compared to some other lines...

I have used it a couple years now. I haven't really noticed an advantage over other lines, other than it looks pretty on the reel. I am basing this on what other lines were being used by people fishing out of my boat. Based on a comparison I saw on this site, when I use up the 9,000 yard spool of Cajun Red, I will probably switch over to Suffix Elite. I think I only have about 8,000 more yards to go.

I put it on a couple of reels a few weeks ago ad I went fishing with one of them. I am taking it off because it does have a lot of memory in it and it did not spool up too well. I will go back to my old standby spiderwire I think.

I bought a 1000yds if 14# this mourning for my bait casters. I like it.
Two reasons I tried it was the price for one Its also easier for me to see when casting. makes a big difference to me esp in low light. One reason I chose it was it said on the label low memory. Well it works well on ther baitcasters and I can change lines often at the price. I'll know if I'll buy it again when I hook a 10# LM.:D

There are several different types one is cast and the other is lightning or something like that. The "cast" is supposed low line memory.

Seems to work good for catfish for some reason. Something I've observed many times. I'll put out a few lines, and have red, green, clear, etc... just too keep them apart and the red gets the most bites.
I'd never use it for bluegill though, for bluegill it is 4# braid and then 4# spiderwire mono leader or fluoro leader.

it is a pretty tough line. i have caught plenty of fish on my 4-6lb line that i use that would break on most other brands. but like everyone else says it has alot of coil memory. i could get it to go away for a bit then farther on down the spool it would nest again. try p-line. it is like a low-vis green looks almost green brown though. that would blend in that water
good luck
