I have a bunch of blakemore horsehead jigs and the paint is sticky and falling off. What can I use to clean the heads off and prepare them to paint, or is it worth the trouble.

You can soak them in accetone pint thinner for a few minutes and it will break most any types of paint off lead lures. You can use an old tooth brush to brush off the bubbled paints.I would reccoment doing it in a well ventalted area and to use rubber gloves with the thinner.
Yes to ventilated area. The stuff that is chipping and not soft will come off easy as it seems they don't cure their paint at all.
Thanks guys I'll trythe accetone, I learned a lesson about leaving the heads with the plastics, but only with the roadrunners. They dont use powder paint do they.
