Fish and Eat results
Man, what a day. Fishing was quite slow, but as usual, the comradery was great. It was great to see some old friends and meet some new guys. I ended up catching 3 crappie in about a 5 minute span, had another good ern get off. (I had to mention that one because I had a witness.) It was good to see Willie out on the water enjoying the day. I had honestly thought something bad had happened to him because I haven't seen him on the board lately or in person either. Burgers were great and a big thanks to Dan for putting forth the effort. Looking forward to the next trip!

I agree, what a day! I didn't put any in the boat today up there, but I did enjoy meeting and talking to folks. Thanks Dan for all your help, and Gooch and CEB for the organizing part. It certainly is a great time anytime a bunch of crappie.com folks can get together, and I can't wait until the next time.

Man I wish I could have been there today. My wife had way too many things on her list for me to do. Glad to hear that everyone had a great time. Did anyone end up getting into the fish?

It was sure great to see you all yesterday. Sorry I was to sick to fish (sounds like a punch line for a joke). I got back home about 1500 and spent the rest of the day in bed. Not much improvement this morning. Can't sleep, head hurts, eyes hurt even my hair (what there is) hurts. I'll be glad to kiss this one goodbye. Just a little aside for anyone who gets this crud, when its over throw away your tooth brush or boil it, or you might give it back to yourself. Hope we have another fish n eat next month. Let me know. Thanks Dano for your help. Tight lines

sorry i couldn't make the trip yesterday, but it was a blessing in disguise. I had some honey do's that needed to be done, & put my boat in to put in 1 bamboo brush mat, & discovered something in the process. I had one of my wheel bearings go out on me, & luckily I was real close to the house. It took me 2 hours to find some replacement bearings, & 30 minutes to re pack them & get back on the road. I saw the wheel on the trailer wobbling, & when checked, the bearings were gone. I'm just glad I didn't drive for an hour to conway, to have them go out on me on the freeway. Just a reminder to everyone, grease your bearings now before the real fishing season starts!! anyway, hope everyone had a good time. I am marking my calendar for the spring get togather on greeson, so I hopefully will see everyone then.

Guys and gals I had a hoot and most importantly it was EASY & RELAXING! I vote we just let Danno shoot us a date for March we can have a similar outing. I say similar as I hope ALL of you chime in and give us some feedback as to your wants and wishes for future gatherings. One idea I had was to have a 5.00 big fish pot and a condo making afternoon. Danno has access to a patch onsite at Gold Creek and it sure would be nice to have some condos in areas outside the pool so we could beat the crowd.
Thanks again to all that came. It was a pleasure to meet all of you.
See you next month

Count me in. I plan to have my nephew come with me next time and I'll bring my boat. My nephew is a police officer in Ward, his name is William Tremane, also is in the national guard and pulled duty at Clinton after the tornado. I think we had another guy there from Ward, but I didnot get his name, he likely knows William, its a real small town.
As far as the outing goes Dale, don't change a thing, I had fun just as it was. The condo idea is great, glad I had that one left over from last year to leave with Dano. I'm sure he has a good spot for it. See ya in March. Tight lines.

I had a great time yesterday fishing with DRPEPPER and meeting everybody. The only thing that could have made it better... was if the fish had of been biting. Looking forward to the next one. Also Dano did one fine job on the eats.
