Homemade stumps
Not too long ago someone asked the question, "What does it take to catch big fish?" The advice given was that you need small, isolated cover. So my fishin' buddy come up with these "Homemade stumps". Hope they work!

Now that is one I haven't seen.....I think they should work well if they are put in areas void of cover. Bass should really like them as well!

I think those would work really well also! reminds me of the ones around my house :)

Sinkem
Guess you pour cement in the PVC to sinkem?????
Should work....bass will love em too..... will give you a thrill if you hang a 5#er....

These are made from plastic drums that are about as big around as a 5 gallon bucket but are 4 feet tall. We cut them in half and get two buckets out of them. ( I knew that algebra class would come in handy some day). We then screw or staple the boards all the way around it and then put a cross at the bottom to keep them from turning over. We shovel them about half full of gravel off of the bank hoping that the fish will like it better, plus its cheaper!

Place those a few yards away from an area with a bunch of stakebeds and they should be golden. How many times you been catching keeper after kepper off a big stakebed or brushpile and your buddy tosses over to a single stick and catches a beast, and that's the only fish on that stick?

Thanks, I got a few plastic drums laying around that I need to get rid of. I was planning on just cutting a bunch of holes in them and sinking them... But now I will put planks all around them.
Good Luck this year.
