Dart Heads New to me So a question please (pic)

Also posted this on the main board, but maybe some look at this board that don't check the main board as they mostly use their state boards.

I have never used this kind of jig head and I love trolling in the spring for crappie so I guess what I really want to know is what is the best way to fish these heads? Also I would think they should be good trolling too, but like I said I never have used them yet.

We use them for hickory and American shad by either just a slow steady retrieve or a slight jigging retrieve. This is in rivers with current which further adds to the action. If there is lots of current sometimes just cast them out and place the rod in the holder and let them swim.
