We use the Quikrete brand. It does have gravel in it. It works best if two people work together. Pour 3-4" of water in the bottom of a 5-gallon bucket. While one pours the quikrete in the bucket the other mixes. We use and old cultivating rake with a long handle. The secret is to keep it liquified and don't let any dry mix settle to the bottom.
I wasn't having a problem with the mixing the problem was with getting the boo throught the gravel to the bottom of the bucket. We ended up putting some in the bottom and then inserting the boo and trying to pour the rest in from the top through gaps.
Your gravel must be bigger than ours. The only time we've had problem getting the boo all the way to the bottom of the bucket was when it didn't get mixed well and dry was settled on the bottom.Quote:

I drill several holes in the bottom of the bucket so the water can drain out... That way the concrete sets up quicker....;)
