condos over mud
Most lakes in florida are shallow, bowl shaped with muck bottoms. All deep water areas are covered with a thick layer of silt/mud/muck. Has anyone ever put condos or brush piles on a muck bottom? In bass fishing I would definitely not fish over muck. How about crappie?

build it and they will come

That is what is in the bottom of Rend Lake and the sets there in my opinion work better than anything else.

Yes , most of Nimrod Lake has silted in bottom. The fish need firm bottom or structure to spawn on. The small fish need the cover and it will help your lake.:D
