Buy a Lowrance X96 Portable Sonar???

Anyone have and like the X96, how do you like yours. I have oredered a Lowrance X96 Portable Sonar Unit from Cabela's. They have the unit in their sales vault for $199.88. The unit is backordered at this time but my order is in. Was wondering if any advise on this portable: Is it the same as the mounted model? Is it easy to swap from big boat to little boat? Any problems with the temp mounted transducer?

West Marine has thex96 for a little over 100.00

I have a X97 which is the same thing except for higher peak to peak power. I also have a eagle fishmark 320. The 320 is the same as the 96 I'm sure. Both are very good units. For the money, they are just about the best thing going for a black and white simple graph. I am well pleased with mine and they really improved my ability to find good spots and fish. CF
