Big Bulls..........
The bluegill fishing has been awesome as of late as well as the crappies.....recently we got into a swarm of BULLs....the largest 11 3/8" long and measuring 8" plus from its dorsal to it's fat belly. It hit a purple maki on an optic stealth in 12 f.ow. as did most all the gills from this area. Have had alot of great days and we released all of the bulls except a few and kept the nice crappies.....the biggest BULL is going on the wall with one I got years ago. My buddy thought I had a walleye on when it struck!:D .....I knew what it was and I knew I did not want to lose it in the brush:o ;)
video clip and pics: ENJOY....We did for sure! :)

Nice gill for sure! My buddy caught an 11 incher here at a place called Western Branch in the fall. It was as round as a dinner plate and you could lip it. It was huge!

Holy Smoke!
Man, I can't wait to get to a high speed puter to checked out your pictures! I still have the "dial up" service and only got to see a few photos. But it looked like you'll were having a great time. Before I leave this earth, I want to take a ice fishin trip like that. No kidding! Could you reccomend an area? Do they have "ice fishing guides"? It all new to me but it looks neat!

I lived in the Pittsburgh area for a couple of years. Coming from the South Texas), I had no idea how large the bream (bulls as you call them) could get in the north. I was pleasantly suprised.
I never did find out where to catch some of them orange roughies or get used to beans in my chili. Where I came from, poor people put beans in their chili because they couldn't afford the meat or the hunting was bad.
