Crappie fishing 12/19
I went back to Connerly bayou yesterday, when I arrived the water was muddy with alot of current and I knew that wasn't good. They had opened the gates, I guess to raise the lake level, it has been a couple of feet low, or else did it to stop the fish from biting and it did that. I fished Chicot for a while with no luck. I headed to Morgan Point and got there about 11am and fished until 4pm. I caught a lot of fish, but a lot of drum and yellow bass. I caught about 25 crappie and only kept 10, the biggest was 14in. weighing 1lb. 12oz. Most were caught on a jig in 30ft of water about 3 to 5 ft. off the bottom.
A couple of the better ones.

Now that what I call determination, but if it paid off in the end., Sounds like a long hard day to get a mess, but them are some good ones. And as for them yellers and drum, at least you had some activity on the other end of the line. Much better than sitting and waiting with nothing hitting. Congrats on the catch and thanks for the report/pics.
